Special Workshops
Visiting Artist Workshops: Annually, Heritage Works hosts two to three visiting artists workshops. Whether it is a series with one or multiple artists, each workshop focuses on the folklore traditions of a region, country or ethnic group. Visiting Artists Workshops also include Come As You Are workshops, last minute classes which occur when a culture bearer unexpectedly visits metro Detroit. Because notice is short, only our e-list receives word. Not to be missed, these impromptu events have all the joy and improv of a dance in the village square. (Djeneba Sako. EWolf)
