Our Youth Arts Youth Troupe is comprised of young artists ages 6-18, who meet weekly to learn cultural traditions of the Diaspora and to receive performance training. This group performs ongoing and is selected from an open audition in the fall of each year based on their current or potential vocal quality, dance ability, music ability and enthusiasm.
2009 - 10 Youth Troupe auditions will be held Wednesday, October 7th from 5 - 7 PM at the Matrix Center, 13560 E. McNichols, Detroit MI 48205. Want to audition? Prepare a song, one-minute dance routine, and memorize and interpret a poem.
