Twerkin' in Context: From Virtuous to Vulgar
We are presenting a series of workshops in 2013-14 that look at the intersection of dance, adornment, and cultural affairs. Our first workshop is December 5, 2013, 6 PM at Pony Ride, 1401 Vermont, Detroit. Twerkin' in Context explores female cultural dances and rituals that resemble Twerkin' and provides a cultural perspective. It also explores the impact of context on these traditions. $20.
