A cypher is an improvisational creative space in the round with roots in West Africa. It's also a coded way to communicate, and the additive identity in mathematics. We embrace its many senses with a focus on culture. Our Cypher sits at the intersection of our youth and community programs, offering intergenerational connections  and illuminating the practices and stories of our innovators and culture bearers.
